Petroleum products are not a side-line for Noble Core — they are a deliberately developed second pillar of our merchant business, built on the same principles as our metals desk: physical material, principal positions, and a network that delivers.

What we move

Our petroleum book covers fuel oil, gasoil, gasoline and base oil — the refined products that sit between the refinery and industrial end-use. We source from producers and trade houses across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and supply to industrial buyers, blenders and re-distributors.

We deal in clipped parcels and full cargoes, FOB and CIF, with shipping arrangements built around the specific trade. Wherever it makes sense, we take ownership of the material and carry the freight risk ourselves — this is principal trading, not brokering.

Where metals brought us a deep understanding of physical flows, recycling streams and quality grading, petroleum brought us into the world of refined-product specifications, marine logistics and trade finance at scale. Both disciplines now sit on the same desk, and reinforce each other in the trades we pursue.

Fuel oil

Residual fuel grades — moved to bunker suppliers, industrial end-users and re-distributors across the Mediterranean and Northwest Europe.

EN590 and non-spec grades — supplied in parcel sizes that suit both inland barge logistics and short-sea cargoes.

Finished motor gasoline and components — sourced from refineries and trade houses across producing regions.

Group I, II and III base stocks — supplied to lubricant blenders and specialty producers.
